| | | 2 | Publicity material and E-Inclusion Staff training programme. This section contains the various brochures and flyers produced to launch the E-Inclusion programme in Leeds, plus information regarding the staff training sessions. Note: the term "E-Inclusion Staff" is now being used in preference to the former title of "Lead Learning Mentor (LLM)". Don't forget - E-Inclusion Staff can include teachers, mentors, cover supervisors and so on - all are welcome to take part! Very Important Note: ALL trainees must sort out their Internet access before the training - usually for Leeds schools this will be via LLN, who can take up to 2 weeks to create new accounts or transfer users from an old place to a new one. Try it out beforehand, including the online web email service.

| | | 3 | Edexcel ALAN course

"The Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy qualifications are sometimes referred to as Adult Basic Skills, but can be taken by learners of any age. They are available at three levels: Entry, Level 1 and Level 2.
At Entry Level each component is assessed by an externally set paper that is internally marked and externally verified. At Levels 1 and 2 the qualifications are assessed through the national test for communication for literacy; and the national test for application of number for numeracy. Each of these tests can be taken on-screen.
There is no requirement for learners to complete a portfolio of evidence for any of the Edexcel Adult Literacy and Adult Numeracy qualifications. The tests, at all levels, are based on the National Standards for literacy and numeracy."
These two qualifications are valued using GCSE Equivalency, and are worth 12½ points at Level 1 and 23 points at Level 2. As a result, any student who achieves a Level 2 pass in both will gain the equivalent points to a B-grade GCSE.

| | | 4 | BTEC Interactive Use of Media

Leeds CLCs have successfully partnered E-Inclusion with the BTEC Interactive Use of Media series of qualifications. There is a lot of common work in both, particularly coursework in digital photography, web site review and design, and audio/video work.
This BTEC is available as an Award, a Certificate or a Diploma at Levels 1, 2 and 3. The Edexcel page for the Level 1 Award is here; all the other levels can be linked from that page.
