TRACKER KEEPS ON TRACKING.....

Over the last 4 years Space2 has successfully run the Tracker Programs.

The Tracker Program was initiated in 2004 and worked with 20 young people from Bracken Edge Primary School and Hillcrest Primary School in Chapeltown Leeds. Over the 3 years the project provided various after school activities, weekend activities and holiday events/residential for the participants.  These activities and events were designed to raise self esteem, self awareness, and self identity, also to promote team building, improved concentration, improved communication and a general sense all round self well being for the young participants. The project provided vital assistance for these young people during a period of major transition from Primary to High school. The approach of the project was to provide integrated, tailored and pro-active support for children and families to meet their needs as they arose.

In 2008 Space2 received funding of £38,000 from the Innovation Grant; Children Leeds, to support and extend its successful Tracker Program.  With the help of this additional funding Tracker expanded to include two new groups, one based at Allerton High School and one at Carr Manor High School.
