'GET STUFFED'
LAUNCH EVENT
 |
On the 1st of July 2008, Space2 released a follow on from its first book, 'wasted', which looked at alcohol abuse. The name of this second book is 'Get Stuffed' which focus's on preventing obesity by informing young people about healthy eating and exercise. The content of both books has been collated and designed by working alongside various groups of young people.
The launch was based at Holy Rosary & St Annes Primary School and included both children and adults. During the launch event there were workshops for young people; these workshops involved working with local visual artists to produce posters and information displays about healthy eating, workshops involving 'whats in your fridge at home?' discussions and also smoothie and food tasting workshops. The Leeds Met Graphic Design Department were presented with a small award from the Primary Care Trust to ackowledge their hard work and dedication to making the booklet a huge success.
This web section was designed by Roisin Larkin: work placement student July 2008.
