In 2009 Space2 was approached by Mount St Mary’s Catholic Primary School to create and run a community ‘arts’ project to assist in enhancing the schools environment. Space2 commissioned artists Tony Stephenson and Sally Nutman to work with the school and local residents to make designs that could be painted onto the exterior of the school building that carried a message about healthy living and eating.
The photos below show the results of the hard work and commitment shown by staff, pupils and residents during this exciting and informative project. I hope you agree the project was a huge success; here are some reactions to the art work:
